SEVEN HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN IDEAS

It's time to spread some holiday cheer! 😄 With the holidays around the corner you have the opportunity to grow your followers and increase engagement on your social channels with some simple and fun campaigns.

Here are Seven holiday social media marketing campaign ideas.

1. Host a fun holiday giveaway!

Tis the season of giving. It is a well-known fact that people are more likely to participate in contests during the Holidays more than on any other time of the year. Thankful for your customers? Why not give away a prize or service every week for the month of November to commemorate Thanksgiving!? Want to spread Christmas cheer? Do a countdown to Christmas and giveaway a gift each day. The possibilities are endless.

2. Utilize Influencers Have an influencer help get the word out about your brand. Partner with one that fits your target audience and have them share your product on their social channels. You can also have them host a giveaway so you reach their followers.

3. Create a festive holiday video Gather your staff and create a fun holiday video to simply wish your customers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Share it on your YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. Don’t forget a portrait version for IGTV!

4. Share a fun recipe or tip

Get in the holiday spirit by creating a holiday version of one of your items and share it on your social channel. You could serve up a spooktacular cocktail or dish for Halloween or a festive craft or outfit that would spread Christmas cheer. Inspire customers to come get the item in person at your business or give them the recipe/instructions to do it themselves at home. These posts have the potential to get shared and reach more people.

5. Make them feel special with special offers Get in the holiday spirit by offering special seasonal products they can only get this time of the year. Think about Starbucks and their holiday drinks. Or offer services or products at a discount. The goal is to get them to visit your business or website. Keep track of the offer with a special URL for your website or a codeword people give you at your business that they can only get from your social media accounts.

6. The last comment in the year.

It’s out with the old and in with the new, but use this engaging game as your last hoorah of the year. Create a post and encourage users to leave comments under it. The author of the comment that will be last in the year will receive a prize from you.

7. Jump on Hashtag Themes

Everyone knows #BlackFriday, #SmallBusinessSaturday and #CyberMonday, Try to have something special for each of these big holiday shopping days if it pertains to your business.
